4-Week Basic Residential Obedience Training
Experience the joy of a Hightest trained dog!
Hightest's four-week obedience training program encourages dogs to reach their full potential with praise and training exercises that are fun. Your dog will be taught the basic obedience commands - Sit, Down, Stay (Assumed), Here, and Heel on leash. Hightest's four-week, on leash obedience program is for all breeds of dogs six months or older. The dogs stay at the kennel during their training and are housed in individual runs. We also have an excellent handler training program that makes it easy for you to learn how to discipline and work with your dog effectively. Two scheduled one-on-one training sessions with your dog and a trainer are included in the program. As of January 1st, 2024, our four-week obedience program is $2,156 (half payable when training begins and the balance due at your two week appointment).
We promise to care for your dog as if it were our own!
Obedience training helps make dogs more manageable and responsive to commands. An obedient dog is a joy to own and a rewarding family companion. Feel free to call and we will be happy to discuss what training solutions may be available to address your dog's specific needs.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMER HAD TO SAY:
"We have had our Mazey there for puppy training and now for the obedience school. She is doing great. We did our three week visit last weekend and were so impressed with her progress. Hightest has great people to work with and they actually care about the animals in their care. Highly recommend them to anyone."

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my dog forget me while being away from me so long during training?
Dogs have a very long memory and six weeks to three months is not a long time for them. You will also be coming up to the kennel at scheduled intervals during the training to work with your dog and the trainer. Once your dog smells you and hears your voice he/she will recognize you and be happy to see you.
Will training change my dog's personality?
Training changes your dog's behavior but not his personality. Training helps organize the dogs thought processes so that he can be more self controlled and respond to commands.
Will training correct my dog's undesirable habits such as digging or destructive chewing?
Training teaches the dog to respond to commands when you are present. It does not teach the dog to behave in a certain manner when you are absent. Digging and chewing are best addressed by confining your dog in a crate or dog run when you are unable to supervise him.
