Vaccination
Description
Requirements
DHLPP
Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvo (Combination must contain Lepto.)
Dogs under
16 months:
Puppy series of at least 4 DHLPP vaccinations with the last one administered no earlier than 16 weeks.
Bordetella
Vaccination: Vaccination within 6 months
Rabies Vaccination
BORDETELLA
Canine Cough
Dogs over
16 months:
Rabies - within 3 yrs.
DHLPP - annual
Bordetella - within 6 months
RABIES
VACCINATION FOR CANINE INFLUENZA RECOMMEND FOR ALL DOGS Series of 2 given 2-4 weeks apart with annual re-vaccination.
Individual veterinarians have various vaccination schedules and recommendations. We do not accept less than 4 DHLPP - vaccinations for dogs under 16 months with the last one given no earlier than 16 weeks. We also recommend the combination contains "Leptospirosis," for dogs that will be swimming in the ponds during their stay at the kennel.
It is recommended that all dogs be currently on monthly heartworm preventative medication as we are located in a heartworm area. Dogs not on preventative may need to be tested for heartworm by a veterinarian before they are started on preventative medication.
