Hi Eva:
I have named my puppy Merlin and mostly he goes by Merlinator ! Believe it or not we still have snow here and he loves it. I am sending a recent picture of him and as soon as the snow is gone I will get one of him outside destroying something. This pup is the happiest little guy I have ever seen, he loves everything and is already looking at the ducks and geese that land on our creek. He is now close to 23 pounds and has almost doubled his weight since april 2/08. I could not be happier and the blood in this pup is unbelievable, he has more drive and energy than anything known to man ! He is coming along great, potty trained and crate trained, very smart and a quick learner. Now if he could just learn to play nice with his 2 cats!

Debra & Eva,
We brought Sarge home on Saturday and were thrilled with him. He doesn't go potty in the house. He gives out a little whine, we take him out in the yard and he does his business, truely remarkable for a 8 week old. He has his own bedroom with a kennel and toys. We took him to the vet on Sunday for a check up and signed him up on the puppy program. The Vet said "that he has taken care of other Hightest puppies and said they were all good dogs, they have a good product."
Anyway, we are thrilled, my wife retired, and I'm a disabled veteran, so we have lots of time to spend with him. He is very much loved.
Thanks for such a great puppy.

This is a photo of Lucy, the puppy we purchased from you last month. She is a wonderful little girl who has adapted to our family well. She and our nine year old weimaraner get along well and play until they drop. We will probably bring her up for Puppy Head Start this summer.
Thank you,

Dear Debra & the rest of the
Hightest Gang;
The Hamre's are wonderful doggie parents, & they love me a lot. They took me hunting many times this past season at the Brady Ranch in Gridley, CA. I got to retrieve over 100 ducks my first duck season. WOW! It was so much fun. I love to hunt, & I look forward to next season. I really appreciate all of the training that your facility provided me, as it helped me to become the best duck dog I could be. My doggie parents were given many compliments on my performance, & many people were impressed that I was so well behaved & trained for just turning one year old in November of 2007. Thank you for the training. Have a ducky day!
Sincerely,

Debra,
Here is a picture of Dawner out of Hasty and Groovy. Dawner is doing great and is currently with you for gun dog training. I would like to thank Jared and Andrew for working on a problem with our other dog Dusti when I was up last Tue. She is now retrieving to hand and holding as long as I want her too. This morning she did not drop the bumper once in our thirty minute session. The personal attention Hightest has given our family every time we are there is amazing. Thanks for everything.

I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful experience of raising a litter of lab puppies. Ginger, who we purchased from you in 2003, is such a great family dog and has strong field instincts, we knew she and Chance would be a good match. Thanks to Hightest's great reputation and your phone referrals, we were able to find good homes for all 11 dogs before they were 8 weeks old! The feedback from the new owners has been all about how smart the pup is or "this is the best puppy we have ever had." Again, thanks for taking good care of Ginger during her stay. Thank you to Eva, and Debra for answering my questions. Hightest you are a business with a lot of heart!
Sincerely

Hi Debra,
Just wanted to say how excited we are about getting another pup from Mouse (and Merlyn this time). As you know this will be our third Mouse pup, our other two hightest dogs Duke and Tule were with Mouse & Fargo.
We moved to Idaho and our ranch is in the middle of duck and goose central. The hunting season is very demanding on the dogs. Most hunts are with several hunters and the action can be very fast and furious. By the end of this last season we knew we were going to need a third dog and thought we would look locally but found nothing that could keep up or out hunt our dogs so we are just going to get another Hightest pup! It's also worth noting our hunting dogs are part of our family and the best house dogs we could ask for.
The photo is from a hunt at our new ranch in Idaho. As you can see the dogs have adapted well.

Hello Hightest,
I am sending you a couple of photos of ducks just so you can see that your dogs do fetch ducks, and they love doing it. I've owned your dogs now since 1995 and wouldn't have anything else.
A sincere thank you.

Hi Hightest Gang,
This is a picture of Marley taken a while ago but it is a great picture of him. Marley is close to 90 pounds now and will be a year old on 15 February. Marley has been doing great this bird hunting season. He really found his nose about 3 months ago and he has really been working the birds. Earlier this season he chased down his first wounded bird and carried it around like a trophy….it was great to see. Marley has an incredibly soft mouth…I have not found any tooth marks in any of the birds he has retrieved, including wounded birds. Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of us in the field just due to my forgetfulness. I hope the Holidays were memorable for all of you and I wish the best for 2008 for you all. Bird season has now closed and we can again get down to the finer training points.
Thanks for a great dog!
Sincerely,
Steve McMullent
